Lucy creates paintings that are as much of the land; as they are about the landscape. Using locally collected earth, rocks and clays, she hand makes her own naturally pigment ‘earth paint’, drawing inspiration from location and materials to create works with significant commitment to process and connection to place.

Lucy has been shortlisted for the Ravenswood Australian women’s art prize and Omnia prize .

Greer is one of On Clarence Studio Artists who is proficient in many mediums, but with a focus in ceramics.

Greer’s artistic journey began at the age of 14 undertaking her first community ceramic classes. The natural world is a driving inspiration in Greers life and is forever present in all form of her art, informedly her degree in Environmental Education from Latrobe University.

Having been mainly focussed on functional ceramics, Greer has recently been exploring Fine Art and exhibiting her decorative work with huge success! In November she was awarded Best Oil/Acrylic at the KernArt Show and has just closed her stunning debut exhibition ‘ Plumage and Place at Cook Street Collective ( Flinders ) almost selling out her incredible life -scale bird sculptures and accompanying Plein air paintings
